Coroner Kiessling confirms 20th COVID-19 death

According to the social media account of the Lycoming County Coroners Office:

I hope that all of you had a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend! The number of positive COVID 19 cases here in Lycoming County has increased to 167 since last week and unfortunately the number of deaths has increased by 2 from a nursing home to 20 total deaths. One of these deaths was due to head trauma after a fall from a wheelchair but also tested positive for COVID 19. There have been no deaths outside of the nursing homes here in Lycoming County.

I posted this last week but I will keep this in my post since I have only spoken to a couple of persons that tested positive for COVID 19. If you or someone you know has tested positive, I would like to speak with you to talk about how long your illness lasted, when you were tested, type of symptoms you experienced, prior medical conditions, etc. If you would prefer I don’t even need your name, this would be completely voluntary and as always used only to help others better understand the COVID 19 disease process from persons that have experienced this first hand. Please feel free to call my office at 570-327-2305 anytime or feel free to email me at cklessling@lyco.org.
