It seems like every week is another test for an upcoming Williamsport program that boast a 1,000-yard passer and 1,000-yard rusher.
Every week the Millionaires keep passing those test, pushing their record to 6-0 in the process. This week, Williamsport heads to Delaware Valley for a Six-A showdown that could have an impact on both teams’ playoff travel docket.
Isaiah Hankins has completed 55 of 79 attempts for 1,001 yards and nine touchdowns. He’s led the Millionaire offense against stiff competition, beating Hazleton, Wyoming Valley West, Shikellamy, and Scranton.
Treyson Potts topped the 1,000-yard mark in last week’s 62-18 win over Scranton and should have no problem rolling into Delaware Valley.
Williamsport has proved to be multidimensional in its offensive attack with Potts leading the way on the ground and Hankins completing passes to multiple receivers.
The Millionaires have four pass catches over 200 yards on the season. Elliott Walker (16-238), Jalen Jackson (14-209), Dante Wright (11-273), and Tristan Connor (11-201) have all proven to be reliable targets.
Williamsport will have to stop Delaware Valley’s vaunted passing attack led by Matt Cavaliaro, who has passed for 1,526 yards on 88 completions. He’s also thrown for 17 touchdowns.
Delaware Valley also possesses a stable of ready receivers. Dylan Kelly leads the way with 411 yards on just 19 catches. His big play ability has also helped him score four touchdowns through the air.
Tyler Smith (23-340, 6 TDs) and Trevor Smith (10-201, 2 TDs) also represent reliable targets for Cavaliaro.
Delaware Valley will have its hands full trying to stop Williamsport’s offense. The defense shutout Hazleton and held Valley West to just 13 points, but Williamsport’s offense has yet to be contained.
