MANSFIELD – Mansfield University has named Chaelim Nellis interim director of athletics effective immediately.
Nellis was named the Mountaineers assistant director of athletics in October of 2015. The Blossburg, Pa. native came to Mansfield after serving as the director of athletic development and camps at Lock Haven University.
Nellis earned his Bachelors of Science in Sport Administration from Lock Haven in 2012 before receiving his Masters in Sports Science from LHU in 2014.
He replaces Deb Solfaro, who is currently listed on the Penn State Abington web site and is expected to be named Athletic Director in the coming days.
