BREAKING NEWS: Lycoming County Government Announces Mission Essential Staffing Status

Pursuant to the Declaration of Disaster Emergency signed by the Lycoming County Board of Commissioners on March 16, 2020 and County Policy Number 313 (INCLEMENT WEATHER/EMERGENCY CONDITIONS POLICY); Lycoming County Government will go to Mission Essential Staffing status effective Friday, March 20, 2020 through April 1, 2020 to provide Essential Services to the public.

Lycoming County Employees have an important role to play in stopping the spread of COVID-19 and saving lives. To this end, Lycoming County is supporting Federal and State efforts by minimizing the number of our employees that are required to report to work at County facilities.

Currently Lycoming County facilities are open, but we strongly encourage the public to utilize on line resources at www.Lyco.org or calling the servicing office first to determine if what they require can be accomplished without having to come into that office. Lycoming County will continue to monitor the situation and explore alternative approaches to continue to deliver essential services. Individually and collectively, the responsibly prudent actions we take and the attitude with which we face these challenging times will define our success.
