BREAKING NEWS: Lycoming County Resource Management Services no longer accepting private transactions from residents or individuals

Lycoming County officials announced Friday morning, effective immediately and until further notice, the Landfill and Transfer Station will no longer accept private transactions from residents/individuals; please use a licensed waste hauler for your disposal needs.

Out of an abundance of caution, and in light of new guidelines presented by Governor Wolf today in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lycoming County Resource Management Services will no longer be accepting private transactions from residents/individuals (private transactions including cash, check, and/or credit cards).

For your disposal needs, resident must use a licensed waste hauler to dispose of waste EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

This immediate change includes the Lycoming Landfill located on Alexander Drive in Montgomery and the Lycoming Transfer Station located on West Third Street in Williamsport.

The weighmasters at the waste scales will not be accepting any cash, credit cards, or checks transactions.

To find a local licensed waste hauler, please either check in your phonebook or search the web.

Many staff will be working and residents may call during regular business hours with questions.

Our goal is to act out of an abundance of caution to protect the health and safety of our employees, waste haulers and the citizens we serve. We appreciate your understanding at this challenging time.

When it is safe to return to normal operating procedures, we will post information through multiple outlets.
