BREAKING NEWS: Marc Scaringi Show Joins News Talk 104.1 Saturdays at 1 p.m.

 

The Marc Scaringi Show joins the News Talk 104.1 & 1600 WEJS weekend lineup beginning this Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 1 p.m.

Attorney Marc Scaringi the namesake of the Scaringi Law Firm is currently in litigation with Governor Tom Wolf over the business closure order also hosts a weekly radio show.

The show originates and can also be heard in Harrisburg on WHP-AM 580.

Scaringi will also be on Facebook live during the show each Saturday.

About Marc Scaringi

Mr. Scaringi was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and lives in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

In 1993, Mr. Scaringi graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in History.

From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Scaringi served as Coalitions Coordinator on then Congressman Rick
Santorum’s campaign for the United States Senate. From 1995 to 1996, Mr. Scaringi served as
Legislative Correspondent for United States Senator Rick Santorum in Washington, DC.

In 1996, Mr. Scaringi served as Director of Coalitions on then Pennsylvania State Senator Mike
Fisher’s campaign for Attorney General of Pennsylvania.

From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Scaringi held the position of Executive Assistant to the Attorney General of Pennsylvania. In this position, Mr. Scaringi served the Attorney General directly as speechwriter, director of public policy and convened and led several statewide task forces including a Task Force on School Safety, Preventing Crime in the Black Community and the Family Violence Task Force. During this time, Mr. Scaringi worked at night on his law degree.

Mr. Scaringi graduated from the Widener University School of Law in 2001 with a Juris Doctorate.

Mr. Scaringi obtained his license to practice law in 2001. He is a member of the Bar of Pennsylvania, the United States Middle District Court of Pennsylvania, and the United States Supreme Court.

In the summer and fall of 2001, Mr. Scaringi held the position of Director of Policy on Mike Fisher’s campaign for Governor of Pennsylvania.

In the fall of 2001, Mr. Scaringi began his law career by joining his wife, Melanie Walz Scaringi, and her parents in the firm, Walz & Walz and then Walz, Walz, Scaringi & Scaringi, based in Newport, Pennsylvania.

In 2005, Mr. and Mrs. Scaringi started their own law firm, Scaringi Law, based in Harrisburg,  Pennsylvania. Scaringi Law is now a full-service law firm with sixteen attorneys and thirty-four
employees with offices in Harrisburg, Newport, Carlisle, York and Lancaster. As the co-owner and Firm Manager, Mr. Scaringi manages the Firm and supervises all attorneys, law clerks, paralegals and administrative staff. In addition, Mr. Scaringi conducts his own law practice  focusing on the below four core areas. Mr. Scaringi has practiced in most of the major practice areas over the years, including family law, criminal defense, civil and commercial litigation and business & corporate law. Now, Mr. Scaringi now focuses his practice on business and corporate law, intellectual property, firearms law and  campaign finance and election law.

From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Scaringi campaigned for the Republican nomination to the United States
Senate in Pennsylvania winning accolades from media and political commentators across
Pennsylvania for his strong debating skills, knowledge of the issues and unsurpassed work ethic.
Mr. Scaringi finished in fifth place with 51,908 votes and 6.9% of the total vote and won Cumberland County.

During his US Senate campaign:
* Mr. Scaringi won several straw polls in Central Pennsylvania, including the 4-county wide straw poll in Bedford, Blair, Centre and Huntingdon County and the Blair County Republican Women’s Straw Poll, and finished well in other straw polls across Pennsylvania.

* Mr. Scaringi was declared by Politicspa, one of Pennsylvania’s most widely read political blogs, the winner of the two most important US Senate Candidate debates: the first held in December 2011 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City during the Pennsylvania Society Weekend and the second at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference held in April of 2012 in Harrisburg.

* Mr. Scaringi was endorsed by Joe Miller, the Republican nominee to the United States Senate in Alaska in 2010.

* Mr. Scaringi received the endorsement of the National Republican Liberty Caucus – a national group which endorsed Senators Pat Toomey, Rand Paul, Jim DeMint and Mike Lee in 2010, which is dedicated to backing candidates who support limited constitutional government and individually liberty.

* Mr. Scaringi received the endorsement of Liberty-Candidates.org – a group dedicated to supporting candidates who are committed to restoring the nation to its Constitutional foundations.

* Mr. Scaringi was voted the Most Conservative Senate Candidate by the Pittsburgh Tea Party 9/12, which said of Scaringi, “This candidate had a perfect conservative rating consistent with that which one might expect from a Constitutionalist or Libertarian. This candidate would definitely be an anti-Progressivism voice working to defeat any further encroachment upon the Constitution and to stop any further intrusion into the lives of American citizens.”

In 2016, Mr. Scaringi ran for Delegate to the Republican National Convention in the 4th Congressional District in Pennsylvania. Mr. Scaringi was endorsed by then presidential candidate Donald J. Trump. Mr. Scaringi was one of the three winners out of 15 candidates competing and received more votes than two incumbent State Representatives and three incumbent Republican County Chairmen among others. Mr. Scaringi received 33,199 votes or 11.95%.
