WWGE-AM 1400 and the Altoona Curve announced a broadcast affiliation agreement today.
Every Altoona Curve game on WWGE-AM 1400 is presented by ARC Federal Credit Union.
Opening Night for the Curve is tomorrow as they host the Harrisburg Senators with an air-time of 5:45 p.m. and first pitch at 6:00 p.m.
According to station owner Todd Bartley, “WWGE-AM 1400 is excited to welcome the Altoona Curve to our broadcast lineup and play-by-play family. With the passionate fan base in Northern Cambria County it is a natural fit to hear about the Pirates of the future all spring and summer.”
Trey Wilson who serves as the lead play-by-play broadcaster is in his second season with the Curve and fourth overall on the airwaves in Minor League Baseball. Wilson joined the Curve prior to the 2015 season.
Nate Bowen enters his fourth season with the Altoona Curve and his fifth season overall on the air in minor league baseball. During the offseason he broadcasts local high school football and basketball in the Altoona Area for AM 1400 WWGE.
The Altoona Curve join the Williamsport Crosscutters as affiliated minor league baseball teams being broadcast on the Colonial Radio Group of Williamsport, LLC family of stations.
