Congressman Fred Keller supports latest COVID-19 response legislation

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) on Saturday voted in support of H.R. 6201, legislation aimed at mitigating the economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States.

On the bill, Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) made the following statement: “I supported H.R. 6201 because it will do good in the near term to ensure families and small businesses affected by COVID-19 are not needlessly financially affected and are in the best position to take care of themselves and others without fear of a devastating economic impact.

“Despite concern being a prudent course of action, all experts agree that this disease will be defeated and this crisis abated. I caution governments, businesses, and individuals that the benefits of this legislation are being deployed to deal with the immediate emergency and should not be used for longterm financial planning, business planning, or budgeting.”
