Correction

This publication previously erroneously reported that Ryan Miller, former head coach of the Williamsport Area School District Varsity Baseball Team (WASD or WAHS Baseball Team) was arrested during a WASD/WAHS Baseball Team Trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2018.

By way of clarification, during the daytime in between games, while the WASD/WAHS Baseball Team was at their hotel, the Atlantica Resort, Mr. Miller observed a drunken man assaulting an unknown woman on the beach. Mr. Miller called law enforcement and reported the situation, as well as exited the hotel to check on the woman’s condition. Mr. Miller provided a statement to law enforcement when they arrived and was listed as a witness upon the Incident Report obtained by this publication. Mr. Miller at no-time was a suspect nor was he arrested during the Myrtle Beach trip.

Additionally, Mr. Miller maintains that during the period he served as head coach of the WASD/WAHS Baseball Team, Mr. Miller was unaware of the alleged indecent assault which occurred during the Myrtle Beach trip. Mr. Miller maintains he was not involved with any investigation or actions taken by the Williamsport Area School District or Law Enforcement relating to such as he was no longer serving as head coach at the time John Doe #1 first reported the alleged indecent assault. Any reports, posts, or stories implying that Mr. Miller was arrested or participated in the investigation or actions taken by the Williamsport Area School District were made in error.
