(Williamsport-PA) – As the second half of the season gets underway, Minor League Baseball and Esurance today unveiled the first annual Esurance Home Field Advantage Award. One Minor League Baseball team in each of the 14 leagues will receive the award based on the highest percentage capacity of the ballpark during the 2016 season.
Williamsport Crosscutters fans are encouraged to continue to support the Cutters in this friendly competition by attending games in the home stretch of the regular season. The winning teams will be announced in September and honored at the 2016 Baseball Winter Meetings™ in National Harbor, Maryland, this December. A celebration for the hometown fans of each winning team will also take place at their respective ballparks at the start of the 2017 season.
“We have some great promotions coming up in August”, said Cutters Vice President/General Manager Doug Estes. “With the team in contention it should make for a fun and interesting final month of the season.”
The Crosscutter’s promotional calendar is packed with fun-filled events to entertain every kind of fan. Some promotions include; appearances by former Phillie Mitch Williams and the Phillie Phanatic on August 9, Bobble head giveaways on August 20 and 27, & Fireworks shows on August 5, 19 & 26.
