Europe-Africa beat Caribbean 4-1 in six innings on Friday at Volunteer Stadium behind Joshua Olara, who went 1-1. He singled in the third inning.
Caribbean couldn’t get anything going as long as Francis Alemo was on the mound. Caribbean managed just one hit off of Alemo, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his four innings of work.
Yaniel Arias handled Europe-Africa’s lineup with ease, racking up 13 strikeouts. Arias allowed two earned runs, three hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings. Arias was the game’s losing pitcher.
Europe-Africa closer Jovan Edaku put away the final six outs to record the save.
