WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College had four members of its softball earn All-North Eastern Athletic Conference North Division honors, and it’s coach took home the top prize when the awards were announced Thursday.

Taylor Krow (Mechanicsburg, Pa) and Taylor Brooks (Cogan Station, Pa.) earned First Team honors, while Maddie Wenk (Biglerville, Pa.) and Kassie Winters (Sayre, Pa.) earned Second Team nods.

Jackie Klahold was named the North Division Coach of the Year.

Brooks picked up her second consecutive First Team honor as a pitcher and outfielder. The sophomore ranked fourth in the conference in ERA (2.07) and in strikeouts with 86 and was 7-2. She highlighted her year in the circle when she tossed a no-hitter against Morrisville. At the plate, she batted 2.99 with 13 RBI, five triples and one home run.

Krow, who earned Second Team honors last season, was ninth in the conference in batting average with .416. The sophomore right fielder picked up 25 hits, scored 12 runs and batted in 15.

Wenk and Winters both pick up their first-ever postseason awards.

Wenk hit .279 with 19 RBIs on 17 hits. The sophomore was a versatile infielder playing third, short, and first and had .982 fielding percentage.

Winters posted a 3.19 ERA and an 8-3 record in the circle. She led the team with a .404 batting average, on 23 hits, nine RBI and 10 runs scored.

Klahold became the first coach in Penn College history to earn a NEAC Coach of the Year in any sport. With the assistance of Jeff Tomb, the Wildcats finished 20-11 overall, 16-6 NEAC, and made their first trip to the NEAC playoffs this weekend.
