Gamboa Walks It Off for Cutters In Extras

Arquimedes Gamboa was impressive with the glove, but it was the shortstops speed that made the difference for the Cutters. Gamboa legged out a walk -off infield single in the bottom of the 11th to plate Chandler Hall and give the Cutters the win.

Williamsport was held to just three hits in the win, tied for the fewest amount of hits the Cutters have recorded in a game this season.

The Cutters have won both games in which they have recorded three hits in this season. JoJoRomero worked five solid innings in his longest start of his career.

Romero allowed seven hits over five scoreless frames, striking out two. Grant Dyer allowed one run over four innings in relief and Will Hibbs tossed two perfect innings of relief enroute to his 2nd win of the season.

The Cutters improve to 14-3 at BB&T Ballpark and6-1 in extra inning games this season. The Cutters played in 9 extra inning games last season, which is a franchise record.
