LCC Metzger: LCRMS Collects 125 tons of recyclables in 3 days

Lycoming County Commissioner Scott Metzger offers comment the first successful weekend of partially resumed recycling operations.

I would like to thank each of the residents that dropped off their recyclables at the Kmart parking lot or the parking lot next to the transfer station owned by Penn College.

Over the past three days approximately 125 tons of recyclables were collected.

The RMS and sheriff’s department were instrumental in assisting the public in an organized manner.

Next Thurs-Sat. April 30th-May 2nd the sites will be changed to the Lycoming Mall and the parking lot at Jersey Shore Area High School to accommodate the eastern and western parts of the county.

Jersey Shore HS and Lycoming Mall Parking Lot set as recycling locations next week

On Thurs. May 7th the locations will return to Kmart and the Penn College lot for May 7th-9th. The hours are from 8:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.

Please wear a mask when dropping off your recycling.

Normal operations will then begin in mid May with all locations returning to normal.

Thank you to our great residents as we maneuver through these challenging times.
