WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College has partnered with Stretch Internet to become the live video streaming provider for Wildcats athletics, Penn College Assistant Director of Athletics Matt Blymier announced Thursday.
Penn College’s athletics events will be streamed in high definition for all home games for soccer, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball and softball through Stretch’s portal, which can be accessed at athletics.pct.edu/live. Games are free to view.
“We are very excited to offer this feature to our fan base, parents and alumni,” Blymier said. “Stretch Internet is a great company to work with, both with their customer service and their desire to improve their product every year.”
Penn College will also continue its partnership with Talk WilliamsportRadio-Williamsport to broadcast select home games for soccer, basketball, baseball and softball.
“We are also excited to welcome back Talk WilliamsportRadio, which offers another medium for our fans to keep up with Penn College athletics,” Blymier said. “The combination of Stretch and Talk Williamsportis perfect for where we want to take this department.”
Features available with Stretch Internet include:
· Instant Highlights: This a new feature this year for Stretch users. Great plays can now be tagged and will appear in a highlight section on the portal.
· Wirecast Webcasting Software: The partnership with Stretch Internet comes with a license for Wirecast Webcasting Software which, among other things, will allow a scoreboard to appear on the video broadcast.
· Social Media Integration: Watching a game can become a communal experience, as fans can engage with others on the portal via the @PCTAthleticsTwitter handle.
· Anytime, Anywhere: Fans can view the GameCentral portal on just about any device – computer, tablet, phone and many Smart TVs – with a responsive experience customized for that particular medium.
