He recently completed his first season as a college football and basketball announcer for Chicago-based outfit Campus Insiders, calling select Patriot league football and men’s basketball games.

Prior to calling men’s basketball at SJU, Matt broadcasted women’s basketball for three seasons for the Hawks and also did men’s and women’s basketball games for longtime D-III powerhouse and current D-II member Lincoln University.

He also spent two seasons in minor league baseball as the director of broadcasting for the Can-Am League’s Atlantic City Surf and has done college football for Lock Haven University on Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport.

Martucci also made his debut with Westwood One Radio in February 2014 as an update anchor during its coverage of the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games.

Martucci, who received the William J. Bennett Award for dedication and loyalty to the SJU men’s basketball program in 2011, began his broadcasting career with WAER FM 88 at Syracuse University, and has also worked with 97.3 Talk WilliamsportFM in Atlantic City.

A 2006 graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications, he joined The Comcast Network in the fall of 2014 as one of two high school football TV play-by-play announcers and has worked at SiriusXM Satellite Radio as a national update anchor since January 2013.
