Mark Mussina

Along with doing color commentary for high school football Mark Mussina is one of the hosts of The Locker Room, Talk Radio Williamsport’s local sports talk show. Mussina’s broadcast career is extensive, starting in Baltimore as a co-host on WWLG’s The Sports Forum, and later, the Sports Showdown. He also co-hosted internet Broadcasts on Baltimore’s On Air Sports, and New York’s Eyada.com before landing his own show on Baltimore’s first all-sports radio station, WNST, where he is still a regular contributor.

While being best known as the brother or former Oriole and Yankee pitcher Mike Mussina, Mark was also a standout, three sport athlete at Montoursville High School. Remembered most notably in football, Mark’s 78-yard, fourth-quarter, touchdown run helped seal the victory in the state semis, making the Warriors – Lycoming County’s first football state finalist. His 322 passing yards, albeit in a losing effort, stood as the AA state championship game record for 16 years, and his season’s passing total eclipsed 2000 yards, earning him first team all-state quarterback honors.

Mark was also a pitcher/shortstop on Montoursville’s AA baseball state finalist team that same year, making him one of a rare few to ever start in two PIAA state championships games in two different sports.  Even rarer still, Mark was named 1st team all-conference in three different varsity sports in the same year (football, basketball, baseball)

At the collegiate level, Mark played baseball and football at Susquehanna University. A torn labrum in his throwing shoulder cut his baseball career short after just two seasons, but he still played four years of football. After moving to split end, Mark was a two year starter, catching 59 passes for over 600 yards.

Mark graduated from Susquehanna with a degree in mathematics. Mark is a liscensed realtor with FISH GMAC Real Estate in Williamsport. He is married, has three children, and lives in Montoursville.
