SE defeats MW 14-3 in five innings

Midwest vs Southeast

By BRETT R. CROSSLEY
WILLIAMSPORT–The Southeast played like a team that wanted to save pitching for a deeper run.
The Southeast scored six runs in the fourth and another seven in the fifth to enforce the 10-run-rule.
Once in the bottom of the fifth it was just about finishing, which the Southeast did, defeating the Midwest 14-3 on Day 7 of the Little League World Series.
One day after hitting a pinch-hit home run and driving in the final run of the game, Kaiden Dinh struck again with a three-run home run in the bottom of the third inning.
Carson Rucker quickly countered as he opened the top of the fourth with a double. Ethan Jackson reached on a walk and RJ Moore cleared the bases with a three-run home run to centerfield. Two walks followed and Zack McWilliams helped score runs four, five, and six with a standup triple.
Jackson, who hit a home run in the second inning, opened the fifth with a walk and was quickly brought around on three consecutive singles. Tanner Jones doubled and then scored when brother Tyler drove a ball through the infield for an RBI single.
A two RBI single from Robert Carroll put the Southeast up 14-3.
