The Warriors received 61 points and six of the nine first-place votes
In 2015-16, Lycoming won its third conference men’s basketball title, first since moving from the MAC Freedom to the MAC Commonwealth in 2008-09. The Warriors, as the fifth-seed, upset No. 4 Stevenson (89-75, No. 1 Alvernia (69-53) and No. 3 Arcadia (78-73) on its way to its first MAC Commonwealth title. Lycoming fell in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship at Christopher Newport by a score of 79-71.
Lebanon Valley received 58 points and the other three first-place votes to rank second in the poll. The Dutchmen were the second-seed in the 2015-16 MAC Commonwealth Championship, but fell in the conference semifinal round to No. 3 Arcadia (71-67).
Arcadia received 46 points to rank third, Alvernia collected 43 points to rank fourth and Albright received 34 points to rank fifth. The Knight, earning the third-seed in the conference tournament, fell to Lycoming in the championship game, while the Crusaders fell to the Warriors in the semifinal round.
The rest of the poll, in respective order, includes Widener (27 points), Hood (23 points), Stevenson (23 points) and Messiah (9 points).
