Jersey Shore HS and Lycoming Mall Parking Lot set as recycling locations next week

Lycoming County – Lycoming County Resource Management Services will be collecting recycling at two specific locations this Thursday, April 30 until Saturday, May 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Locations – Lycoming Mall Parking Lot at 300 Lycoming Mall Circle, Muncy, 17756 and Jersey Shore Area High School Parking Lot at 701 Cemetery Street, Jersey Shore, 17740. Please wear masks while accessing these sites. Staff will be there to direct traffic and help but will not handle any materials. (There will be no collections at Kmart or Penn College parking lots during this time).

Hours – Public may access these locations for recycling this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00am-4:00pm. (Containers will only be accessible during these times, any materials left at the site after hours is considered littering and illegal dumping).

Acceptable recyclable materials – please know that collections have changed to accommodate the anticipated volumes. Cardboard (must be broken down) and clear/brown/green glass bottles & jars will be collected in separate containers. Plastic bottles and jars (#1&2), tin/steel cans, and aluminum cans will be accepted commingled (into one container); and newspaper, office paper, magazines, chipboard, and junk mail will be accepted commingled (into one container). PLASTIC BAGS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE IN THE RECYCLING CONTAINERS, PLEASE EMPTY ANY BAGGED MATERIAL AND TAKE THE BAGS BACK HOME WITH YOU (only exception is for shredded office paper, please put your shredded office paper in a clear bag).
