BREAKING NEWS: Lycoming County Court Cases Being Postponed Amid COVID-19 Crisis

News Talk 104.1 has confirmed Lycoming County President Judge Nancy Butts has filed an order to postpone court cases until after April 14, 2020.

The order reads as follows and is posted on the front doors of the Lycoming County Courthouse:

Per the Supreme Court’s Order of March 16, 2020, I declare a judicial emergency in the 29th Judicial District for the following period: March 16, 2020 to April 14, 2020.

The operation of Rule 600 of criminal procedure shall be suspended in the 29th Judicial District during the period of the local judicial emergency.
