BREAKING NEWS: Smokey Stover retires from LHU

After concluding his 24th season as the Lock Haven head baseball coach Paul “Smokey” Stover announced his retirement from LHU on social media on Monday evening.

Stover posted to Facebook earlier this evening, “One sad day in my life and one happy day of my life. I’ll miss the men on my LHU Baseball Team. I have officially retired from Lock Haven University. I can’t get the smile off my wife’s face. There is hurt on my face. I love LHU.”

According to golhu.com, Stover joined the club in 1992, Stover celebrated his 400-wins milestone in 2011 and concludes his college coaching career with a 432-568-7 career ledger.

This Saturday, Smokey Stover will serve as a game analyst and join Todd Bartley for the Backyard Brawl at Bowman Field on Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport.
