Former Montgomery High School Head Softball Coach Craig Weaver, Sr. was approved as the varsity softball coach Wednesday night at the Loyalsock Township School District Board of School Directors meeting.
Weaver Sr. is currently an assistant basketball coach at Hughesville High School and serves as a high school basketball analyst for Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport and Fox SportsWilliamsport.tv.
He replaces former coach Tom O’Malley who is departing for Japan this weekend to become the hitting coach for the Hanshin Tigers.
While at Montgomery, Weaver lead the Lady Red Raiders to the 2010 PIAA Class A State Championship game and a state runner-up finish.
