Chula Vista, California clinches LLBWS United States Championship

South Williamsport, PA — Eastlake Little League from Chula Vista, California claimed the Little League Baseball World Series United States Championship by defeating Westport, Connecticut 12-1 on Saturday afternoon at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.

Chula Vista, California advances to play the International Championship winner Japan on Sunday at 3 p.m. Japan won the coin flip and will be the home team.

Starting pitcher Nick Mora went 5 2/3 innings allowing just one run while striking out 10 Connecticut batters.

At the plate he went 2-4 including a 3-run home run (photo above) in the second inning.
