Cutters Exec Honored by NYP League

Williamsport Crosscutters Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, Gabe Sinicropi, has been named the recipient of the Hon. Robert F. Julian Community & Baseball Service Award for 2014 by the New York-Penn League.

After spending ten years in radio as an air personality and Program Director, Gabe’s fulltime career in professional baseball began in 1992 with the Geneva (NY) Cubs and continued as the team moved to Williamsport for the 1993 season.

“My fellow Cutters staffers and front office members on every team in the New York-Penn League and across Minor League Baseball give back to their community and to the great game of baseball,” Sinicropi said.  “It’s just one of the many things that make this such a great industry.  This award could easily be given to any front office staff member in our league.”

In his 21 years in Williamsport, Sinicropi has served many organizations as a volunteer including Little Baseball as a Public Address Announcer for the Little League World Series since 1998.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for AAA North Penn, Hope Enterprises, Lycoming County United Way, and the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce.  Additionally, he is a member of the Lycoming County Visitor’s Bureau Operating Committee, the Kiwanis Club of Williamsport and has served as an emcee at the Minor League Baseball Promotional Seminar for the last four years.

Sinicropi was named the NYP League Male Executive of the Year in 2011 and presented with the Ray Keyes Sports Awardby the Lycoming County Brotherhood Alliance this past May.

The award is named after Robert Julian who served as the NYP League President from 1992-2001 and will be presented at the Baseball Winter Meetings being held December 7-11 in San Diego, CA.
