Beiter’s and Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport have jointly announced an exclusive partnership agreement for the 2016-2017 school year.
The “Talk Williamsport Student Athlete of the Week” presented by Beiter’s featured exclusively on the multi-media platforms of Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport will highlight the in-classroom and on the field of competition achievements of Lycoming County student athletes.
Students can be nominated by their coaches, administrators and fans by using the contact page of Fox SportsWilliamsport.com. Each week a male and female student athlete will be featured on the website with their photo and biographical information.
The first two award winners will be announced Friday, September 16, 2016.
“It is extremely important for us to keep the connection with our local high school student athletes and celebrating our 10th Anniversary High School Football season it seemed the perfect time to launch this program with a perfect partner in Beiter’s,” Todd Bartley, Owner and General Manager of Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport.
In 1966, Beiter’s Appliances began as a three-man partnership in a small building at the rear of 406 Hawthorne Avenue in Williamsport. Within a year, Bob Beiter obtained full ownership with a strong belief in the firm, now known as Beiter’s. Since then, the company has grown into five locations in South Williamsport, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Milton and Sunbury.
The commitment to local high school and college teams is unmatched in the Susquehanna Valley with all nine Lycoming County School districts calling Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport their broadcast home. The only professional team in Williamsport also calls Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport its flagship station as the Williamsport Crosscutters are broadcast each summer.
At the college level, Lycoming College, Penn College, Mansfield University, and Wilkes University all have broadcast agreements with Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport.
Since 2012, Division I, Saint Francis University has also had its game broadcasts syndicated by Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport.
Talk WilliamsportRadio Williamsport originates the locally produced Locker Room Show weekdays from 4 – 5 p.m. with various local hosts. All programming is available to listeners through the free tunein app available at tunein.com and by searching WLYC.
