URGENT: DOH Reports Lycoming County COVID-19 death

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., May 1, there are 1,208 new Positives Bringing the state total to 46,971 with 2,354 total deaths.

UPDATE: 12:10 P.M.

Coroner Kiessling has confirmed the first death in Lycoming County attributed to COVID-19. There are further details developing. Kiessling is currently on a conference call with the Department of Health.

Local counties as noted below that have at least one positive COVID-19 case confirmed and updated cases provided.

Columbia County – 289, 13 total deaths

Northumberland County – 95 (added 2 cases Thursday)

Montour County – 48 (added 1 case Thursday)

Lycoming County – 71 (added 3 cases Thursday), 1 death added Thursday

Union County – 37 (added 2 cases Thursday)

Bradford County – 33 (added 2 cases Thursday), 2 deaths

Clinton County – 32 (added 1 case Thursday)

Tioga County – 16, 1 death

Potter County – 4

Sullivan County – 1

Combined, there are now 626 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 17 deaths in the region.

The Department of Health also reported a total of 180,477 negatives.
